Pixels with Purpose is our way of doing a genuinely useful thing without turning it into a song and dance.
Once a year, Pixelbricks donates a fully designed, professionally built brochure-style website to a London-based charity or CIC — completely free. No sneaky catches. No awkward strings. Just good design, done properly, for an organisation doing good work.

Content & collaboration
You know your organisation better than anyone, so you’ll provide the written content for the website. We’ll then polish, refine, and structure it so it works properly on the web, improving clarity, flow, and readability without changing your voice.
We won’t write content from scratch, but we will make what you give us clearer, tighter, and more effective. Think of it as editing, not ghostwriting.
Revisions
The project includes two rounds of revisions once the initial design is presented. This keeps feedback focused, decisions clear, and prevents the project turning into a never-ending game of “just one more tweak”.
Timings & launch
The pause clause (important)
If feedback or communication pauses for more than 14 days, the project may be temporarily paused and rescheduled to fit availability. We’ll always give you a nudge first — no disappearing acts on either side.
Hosting & ongoing support
While the website itself is donated in full, ongoing costs still exist.
- Hosting and support are £20 per month
- This covers:
- Secure hosting
- Ongoing maintenance and updates
- General support and peace of mind
These costs are not part of the donation, but they keep the website running safely and smoothly long-term.
After launch
Included as part of hosting and support:
- Minor updates (small text changes, image swaps, simple tweaks) — completely free
- Major changes (new pages, features, or significant changes) — quoted separately at a discounted charity rate
We also offer ongoing discounted charity rates beyond launch, because good work shouldn’t suddenly become unaffordable.
Eligibility criteria
To apply for Pixels with Purpose, organisations must:
- Be a registered charity or CIC
- Be based in London and primarily serve a London community
- Be a small to medium-sized organisation
(Typically up to around 20 staff or volunteers) - Clearly explain why a new website is needed and how it will support their work (“Ours is old” is honest — we’ll just need a bit more context)
Why we do this
Good design shouldn’t only belong to organisations with big budgets. And sometimes the most helpful thing you can do is simply build the thing properly.
Pixelbricks exists because of London. Local charities helped me get back on my feet at a time when I genuinely needed it. In ways that quietly but very directly changed the course of my life. Without that support, I wouldn’t be doing what I do now.
Pixels with Purpose is a small way of giving something back. No big speeches. No charity galas. Just one solid website, once a year, for a London organisation that needs it.
